Lens set

ND2  ND4  ND8

InstantKon lens set includes several neutral density filters. These filters allow you to get more accurately exposed shots in different lighting scenarios. By reducing extra light entering the camera, these ND filters help avoid over-exposing film in bright sunlight.

Using a larger aperture of f/5.6 (35mm equivalent: f/2.4), you can achieve shallow depth-of-field in brightly lit conditions. This is perfect for outdoor shooting and long shutter exposures.

The higher the number, the stronger its light-reduction ability.

HOW TO USE

To install the lens, carefully align the filter with the lens. Press together, then turn the filter clockwise to lock it in place.

Note: you can fold the camera with a filter installed!

When to use an ND filter

Check the Ambient Light Indicator of your camera.

When you half-press the shutter release, the Ambient Light Indicator will light up to show whether your exposure is correct.

Green light means exposure is correct

Red light means over- or under-exposure

If you see the red light and 2, 4 or 8 displayed in the Indicator, you can reduce the exposure by:

2 : Using ND2 filter, or a 1-stop faster shutter speed, e.g. 1/8 → 1/15

4 : Using ND4 filter, or a 2-stop faster shutter speed, e.g. 1/8 → 1/30

8 : Using ND8 filter, or a 3-stop faster shutter speed, e.g. 1/8 → 1/60
